The Unbelievable Paleo Wrap (Allergy & Gluten Free)

I'm only dashing on here for a quick scream. Here goes - GUESS WHAT WE FOUND!!!!???? Oh, nothing. Ha ha haaaa! Don't you hate when people do that? Okay seriously, let's start over. Guess what we found?

So the other day my phone goes off, and what is it other than a text message containing this...

A fellow allergy mom sent me that bit of eye candy and it propelled me to immediately get on the case to find those suckers. After researching we found out that it is a Paleo wrap.

Now...you're ready for the good stuff. Oooooh, I just can't contain myself. Here goes - Paleo Wraps are Raw, Vegan, Starch Free, Gluten Free, Grain Free, Yeast Free, Soy Free, GMO Free, Salt Free (No Added Salt) Low Carb and best of all delicious. They are made from organic coconuts and coconut water. Did you hear what I said? Better yet, do you know what this means???? Yeah, baby, it means that me, my son and any other allergy free soul can enjoy the sound of "nom nom" in a way that is unprecedented! Learn more about the wrap itself here.

I searched the Juliane Bakery site, and they say these are sold wherever their bread is sold. So for my Houston peeps, the website shows the bread locations as follows:

Vitamins and Such
3135 W. Holcombe Blvd.
Houston, TX. 77025 US
Telephone: 7136677979

Hours: 9 am to 6 pm CST, monday thru Friday, 10 am to 5 pm CST, Saturday

Whole Foods Market
4004 Bellaire
Houston, TX. 77025 US
Telephone: 713 667 4090

Whole Foods Market
701 Waugh Dr.
Houston, TX. 77019 US
Telephone: 713 284 1260

Whole Foods Market
6401 Woodway S 3 149
Houston, TX. 77057 US
Telephone: 713 789 4477

I went to Whole Foods on Bellaire and they did have the bread, but when I asked about the wraps they looked at me as if I was speaking some foreign language. Long story short, they didn't have them. So standing in the line as they rang up my million dollars worth of groceries, I called Vitamins and Such (listed above) and yep, they sell them. BUT...they didn't have any at the moment. The clerk said the run out of them really fast. They get new shipments in every Thursday about 11:00 AM. So that means they got them in on Thursday and were out by Saturday, see? Now, that doesn't mean for you go this Thursday, because if I see you there I promise I will run over you like a bulldozer launching into an old abandoned building. You will NOT get the last pack! I mean it!!!

For those a bit too far out of town, they ship, so give 'em a call.

So just another bit of heaven we allergy folks can enjoy. We're really stickin' it to those gluten eaters now, aren't we?? Hee heee!!!

  1. Jordyn, are you at all aware of what Heath Squier and the Julian Bakery have been up to? Perhaps before you take their products (free?) for testing, you may want to read about them http://low-carb-scams.com/offending-companies/the-bernie-madoff-of-the-low-carb-scam-artists/
This company has been lying and cheating diabetics and the low carb community for years and now they have poached another company’s product by making their Paleo Wraps you have so highly talked about here.
How do you know the Julian Bakery Paleo Wraps are non-GMO? Only because they say so? Heath Squier and Julian Bakery say all kinds of things that are not true and this is one of them. The Paleo Wraps are NOT non-GMO certified and just because Heath Squier says they are doesn't mean anything. Check it for yourself at http://www.nongmoproject.org/find-non-gmo/search-participating-products/?catID=5 This is a list of breads and bakeries who are certified. Improv'eat's The Pure Wraps ARE CERTIFIED and not only are the Paleo Wraps NOT CERTIFIED they are not even on the list for verification.
So perhaps before you spout off about how great the Paleo Wraps are you should do your homework.
Ignorance is not bliss-it can and does cause damage.
